NAMM 2011 - Whats hot this year?

Not much word out this year, hum?

No major pre-event launches... no major rumors...

C'mon!! It ain't fun this way tutt

Will we be seeing the first USB3 interfaces?

Is it the year that finally the control surface market gets a revolution?

So much time, so little speculation...

Come on slutz... it's only 10 days away !

I am seriously stumped.

1 week from launch, and nothing ?!?!

THIS is certainly the biggest news to me... the lack of scoops, info, here-say and speculation.

Ya pretty sad this year. No countdown clocks or shadowy images of the corner of a piece of new gear. Dave Smith has something new and hopefully teenage engineering announce their OP-1 is for sale. Other than that not much going on. I'm hoping for some more Korg iPad apps perhaps.

Behringer will introduce their new digital mixer.

BEHRINGER: X32

I'm surprised that there isn't more news. I have been told that the MI segment has done very well over the past few years.

Hopefully I'll find something interesting there this week. I always enjoy the "down stairs" companies, except for the Chinese ripoffs, there is usually some really innovative stuff down there.

I just came from the New product alert forum and think the Lisson Grove comp looks awesome. RND 543 and Bock 241 aint too bad either.

The DDX3216 was a great mixer when it came out. Since then, Behringer has improved their mic pre's, converters and effects which are are on other newer gear. This new X32 with these updated items should be a great option for someone in this price range. I used to have the DDX and I just loved the DDX. Effects were really good, and the work flow was fun.

That has been weird to me as well. normally the blogosphere is rife with speculation and semi-official leaks. This year, nada.

A Designs will have two very cool new products and Access Music will be debuting something extremely cool as well.

Here for the gear

The X32 looks really useful for live work, especially as it promises remote preamps over a CAT5 snake.

The Korg Kronos that's supposed to amaze all of us.

And someone over at the Harmony Central forums under the NAMM thread was talking about a Zoom R8 8 track multi-track recorder with sampling and pad capability similar to the R32. Not sure how much truth is in that though.

Oh man!! WOW!!! I dont like Gibs much (robot guitar included) but THIS !!

I have a very strong feeling this NAMM is going to be one of the best ever!! Curiously, never have I seen so little leaks and serious speculation.

Maybe the correlation is obvious, everyone is super extra hush hush!!

If what Access is debuting is merely this year's repainted version of 3 years ago's new synth, I'll be disappointed.
