Changing to an Audio Interface

So at the moment im recording into a Tascam DP-02 portastudio.

My set up is a SE2200T for vocals into a presonus tubepre and then a DPA 4060 into a headway guitar preamp to record the guitar they both go into a crest graphic EQ then into the Tascam.

If i was to change to an audio interface, focusrite pro 14/24 or one of the presonus interfaces, will i see any improvement in sound given the higher sample rate of 24bit/96 with the foucsrite verses the Tascams 16bit/44.1??

Id be recording into Garageband or Logic Express.
