Probably a Royer SF-24, AKG C24, and Electro-Voice RE20. If it could just be three microphones and not have to choose a ribbon, I'd replace the SF-24 with a Neumann SM2.

Or.....if I had to follow the three different type rule:

Condenser: Ela M 251

Ribbon: Royer 121

Dynamic: RE20

Haha. If I accidentally buy 1 I'll send it to you!
I do have (what most people call an irrational) hatred for those 2 damn sennheiser mics. Or SM failures as I like to call them....

From my mics, I could record anything with these three if I had to:

Korby KAT with the 67M head;
M160 (although I'd love to get some 4038s); and
421.

Ha! Just sold a bunch of mics, save my

1. KSM32
2. SM57
3. still shopping for that ribbon - R-122V? One of the "classical" AEAs?

Of course I never track lead vocals, that would probably change things considerably.
