441 is probably a typo. Who likes that ****ty mid range peaky sounding hard to clip onto a stand mic?

I'm sure they meant 414, or maybe 421. In which case refer to point 1.

LOL I love the 441 ! I use it on everything, vocals, drums, sax etc. I got two for $400. Best last year purchase for me !

1) Telefunken USA C12
2) RCA 77 (or AEA repro)
3) Toss up between EV RE15 or Beyer Soundstar M400 for live or studio
vocals.

Chris

P.S. BUT IMHO there's lots of other great mics big (251) and small (EV 635a).

With these 3 mics (that I own) I could record any source....

BeesNeez Mahalia (U67 'ish).
2 x BN Lulu Fet's (KM84 'ish).

I could do drums, vocals, guitars, cabs, strings, percussion - everything.
I could do a whole album with just these 3. heh

If you can cheat and have stereo mics I probably have a Coles 4050 and a AKG C24 over the 4038 and U47 for versatility.
I hope so, otherwise I'm screwed with my selection of the Soundfield mic.

Well I do - send me any you have lying around & I will put them to good use on live vox.

Also any of those crummy old 421s you have as well.

I`ll even pay postage!
