Great Moniters - Cheap Price

Does such a thing exist?

I produce deep/tech and minimal house.

I'm looking for some monitors in the $500 to $1000 range. I'm looking for clarity/accuracy over power as I'm in a London flat at the moment and have KRK VXT8's back at home in Sydney.

Any recommendations?? Thanks for the help

just found a great deal on some Focal CMS 50 monitors on ebay for $800 USD. A very cool/flexible option if you can find a deal on them.

I am a fan of the Yamaha HS80s in that price range. Nice low end from the 8" drivers.

completely thought there would be more out there in terms of recommendation...

Anyone else?

Not really a fan of the above recommendations to be completely honest.

Look at Blue Sky

In your price range: MediaDesk

I have the ProDesks, a friend has the MediaDesks. Love them both. Full range, non-fatiguing and adequately cruel.

Why not Genelecs then? I don't have any experience on the current line-up, but if I was left in a situation without monitors and with about 1000$ cash, I would buy my current ones again in a heartbeat. They are 1030A's and you can only get them used nowadays. But they rock.

Yes, best full range pair in that price range it seems.

Even with the HS80Ms you may want to invest in a pair of headphones to check the deep lows, especially if you're doing electronic music. I use mine in conjunction with a pair of Sony MDR-7506. The Yamahas really only go down to about 40Hz. Regardless, you can get both for under $1000
