Trying to reduce noise in home recordings

Our band recently purchased some equipment to record demos, but I feel like there is more noise on the tracks than than there should be. Attached is a test we did using our three new microphones, an SM57, Sennheiser e609, and a CAD m179 (cardioid setting). We also used:

MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz i5, 4 GB DDR3
M-Audio Fast Track Pro
New Quantum XLR cable
Garageband '11 v.6

The same XLR cable was used on each take, and the same pre-amp on the Fast Track was used each time. This preamp was set to about 4 o'clock, with the max being about 5:15. The 'commentary' on the recording was all recorded on the CAD m179.

I realize this is all budget equipment, but we are new to this and just want to make sure that the little we have is working optimally.

I had a listen. It seems to me only the cad mic has significant hiss..
