Merry Xmas, but how many are you working tomorrow?

I've had to work on sessions for clients who insisted on working on Xmas. I don't do it anymore, mostly because I've got my own thing now, but I do remember those days.

There was one that went and did his own Xmas thing with the family, but insisted that he was going to come back, and kept the studio booked...
take a guess whether or not he came back...

Well to those have have to stay in the trenches tomorrow, have a good Xmas and I hope you find a certain charm in the situation.

I purposely put this in the "Too much gear, too little time" section. I hope that's understandable.

Not tonight but last night. I played Xmas carols for the children's cancer ward at a local hospital. I do it every year and every year I cry..........

While most kids are asking Santa for a new toy, these kids are asking Santa to let them live another day.
Talk about a reality check.

Count your blessings people...
One by one, as the hymn says...

I might do a little work today, my wife is playing a gig at a hospital for old folks. For me it's just walking down stairs.

Yeah, I have to brave the cold for 20 feet from my back door to the studio's front door. Some days it's enough to make me call in sick. heh

Cheers,

Yes. Tracking vocals for EMI Japan tonight. The artists are here on vacay so they want to take advantage when the feeling is hot in a different city.

In the entertainment biz there is no such things as holidays. Or so i've been told over and over for many years.

Ahhh Merry Xmas. Glad you do not have to work. I am glad to see Red Tuxedo is still alive and kicking. A band I played with mixed our record at the old Midtown location (it looks like you have moved) some years ago.

I loved the vibe of the place and was thrilled with the results.

Mastered an e.p and a single today. It was all good; -14 rms and -10 rms, that was the real celebration for me.

I tracked a band tonight; it gave me a great excuse to leave my sister's house hours earlier than I would have otherwise. heh
