I liked it. Reminded me of Bartok. Didn't he do a thing about toast? Or was that Strauss? Of course by which I mean the REAL Strauss and not that pantywaist, napkin writing, girly man Johann Strauss. I swear if I hear one more tuneful waltz I'm gonna decapitate a baby animal!
(The REAL) Strauss to world: Like Death and Transfiguration?
World: "yeah, it's great!"
Strauss: "You're WELCOME"

Some of those reviews are remarkably well written. Funny that after nearly 200 reviews, no one has bought the cables... If you want more entertainment, do a search for the cables and read the Audiophile review of them, apparently they're quite a bargain! They have built in batteries to keep the wires charged with a DC voltage so that music won't be disrupted by stray capacitance between the conductors!

This had me howling:

If you are building a 2000:1 working prototype of a badger brain in a storage unit in the desert, this is definitely what you want as a synaptic analogue. Plain old aquarium tubing will work for chemical signals, but for electrical impulses you want a FAST, ACCURATE conductor. WIre clothing hangars WILL NOT WORK!

While the K2 may put you over budget, you'll be glad you spent the extra money once your project begins exhibiting the tenacity you need for Phase 2. Once you get that baby mounted into semi trailer and finalize the navigation and weapons interfaces, I'm thinking you'll recoup your investment in the first week.

I bought a pair but sold one cable on e-bay shorty after that because my wife gave me real hell.

So I'm pretty bummed that I can only listen in mono now but it eventually dawned on me that mono is best listened to on one speaker so I sold my second MBL 101 X-treme as well and guess what? The Wifey is happy again!

Hey, the refurbs are a bargain at 5 g's.

How do you refurb a cable? Wash gently with soap and warm water? What could one DO to a cable to cause it to need refurbishing in the first place?

When checking the amazon site for these cables, I noticed that John Cage's 4'33'' is available as an mp3 download on a sidebar. Are they kidding? Should we really hear this with LOSSY COMPRESSION! I'm outraged!

The cables themselves seem well built and sturdy; the manufacturers certainly haven't cut any corners. I found it quite a job to cut the connectors off, and soldering the 3.5mm stereo jack on wasn't easy given the diameter of the cores.

I've just thought - if I were to create an empty file, four minutes and 33 seconds long, would I be guilty of plagiarism?

You mean.... the.... cables....

are....

real??

As in, if one clicks "add to cart" button.... their credit card will actually be charged.... $6,800.00??? And a single-pair conductor with banana clips on the ends will actually show up at their door?

wow.

I really can't fully process that.
