Cold weather Mic shipping

I am just about to by a Brauner mic from Germany. I am wondering if it will be damaged in some way during shipping in cold DHL vans and storage places due to extreme low temperatures in EU at the moment.

Should I be worried ?

Thanks

I assume that Brauner puts desicant in the shipping container. The damage done by cold is usually from condensation.

Thanks tINY

I should have mentioned that it is from a private seller, and not coming directly from Brauner, so probably no desicant.

If I wait to connect the mic after it has had a few hours to adjust to the room temperature, will I be ok?

Cheers

Been watching to much TV?

If it gets shipped by air freight, it will certainly get colder. As Tiny said, condensation is your biggest problem, so just let the mic adjust for a couple of hours to room temp. And don't put it in a damp area while it's cold. But most studio's are very dry, so it really shouldn't be a problem.

one of the things i do to help prevent condensation, is to leave the cold box sealed up for a day or so.
