AKG 702 and the TASCAM MH-8, does this fit? Headphone Amps

AKG 702 and the TASCAM MH-8, does this fit? (how strong must a headphone amp be?

I have noticed that my Samson S-phone caused quite some distortion when used with the AKG K 702. I believe because it could not deal with the low impedance of the K 720, which is 62 ohms.

I have noticed that some manufacturers of headphone amps advertise to go as low as 30 ohms, but at a much higher price.

AKG K 702 and the TASCAM MH-8: is that a good match? What do you think?

Thanks for the advice.

There are other dedicated amps and somewhere I read a headphone amp should really cost 500$ to be of good quality. Hmm. It is true that there are dedicated headphone amps out there that are much more expensive and that scream how well they can pump low impedance headphones.
