Talk back Mic Sugestions?

I have a Neotek Elan II and there is an XLR Female connector in the master section for a talk back mic that can be plugged straight in. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced gooseneck that would work? Does not have to be hi-fi, just something that will work and last. Thanks for any help,

yeah, got a 251 stuck in there now, but clients are starting to get pissed-- they want to use it for vocals... bizarre

next gooseneck suggestion...

Look through the EV and Crown catalogs - should be something in there for you....

I use an MXL 990 as a talkback, its nice, decent gain, and I can be anywhere in the mix room and be heard.

Here for the gear

I dont understand why you would use an expensive mic like the elam 251 just for talkback...just find a cheap dynamic...if it has 1/4" connection just cut it off and put an xlr on it.

think we decided on a c24; stereo should bring it to a whole other level when the producers start screaming.

I got a cheap DJ mic (Gemini) to use in a pinch, and it has worked so well for the last couple of years, that I never bothered to replace it. I think it was like US$40 on Ebay if I remember correctly (that is a brand new price, btw).

An AKG D - 58 is great for this. You can either plug it straight into the XLR on the console, or put it on a gooseneck, or hang it on a mic cable.

I have so many SM57, it was just natural to use one for talkback.
