Fake B&w Dm 610i?

Hello everyone, how are you?
I need your help to verify the authenticity of a speaker.
It's a pair of B&W 610i, being sold online.

I had a problem recently with a pair of Meyer Sound HD-1.
At the time the owner had changed the original speakers.

I am again with this question, because the pictures seem different from all others found on the Internet.

Could anyone help me identify the authenticity of the boxes?
I am sending a email to B&W for more information.

Thank you.

Fake (or not?):

The 610i's are the older version of the DM 1600's. Could not really tell a difference on them.

Ya it was funny on those. Got them cheap, and was talking to the Mastering Engineer during one session. I mentioned that I had a pair of B&W's upstairs. It was like a record stop.... "Dude! Take those to the studio and use them!"

So I did!

Really slick tied to a sub.
The B&W's are actually the DM 610i series that I picked up from a guy from my old office for like 250 bucks. It was a steal and I have them powered with a old Crown D75 power amp. Let me just say that they sound great and I mix pretty much solely with them. A mastering guy that I use told me to put them in the studio and I did. Never looked back. Sound great, very detailed and much better in the studio versus the living room where they were never used.
At that price, it seems a really good deal.
Especially if married to a nice amp.

I was thinking of buying a cheap pair of monitors, such as the Yamaha HS-80 (while my monitors are still broken), but the B&W seem more interesting.

I had a pair of these hooked up to my home stereo for a little while. I picked them up cheap so figured I'd give them a try. They only lasted a few months, weren't that great (to my ears) and didn't last long at my place. I would not use these as mixing monitors, there's much better options for a couple hundred bucks

Julian, just got your msg sorry. I am not sure on your photos? The lower ones appear to have a different driver. The tweeter looks fine, but the drivers look like they have been replaced. The top photos however look accurate to what mine are.

The other thing to look for is to make sure that the outer edge of the woofer is smooth and equal. It looks like they are all out and oblong? Might be the photo though.

I personally love mine and like I mentioned before on the post with my studio pics that I mix solely on them now. I have the Blue Sky's too but rarely use them. I am thinking about replacing the B&W's with a pair of Focal's but that is still a ways off.

They are brighter but I like that as it helps me guarantee that the mix is how I hear it. The guy above did not say how much power he was kicking to them as that would make the lifespan go up or down. I put the D75 on them and love it. Made my mixes really translate well.

Hope this helps?

Just bought a pair on ebay yesterday and am really excited about this.

At the studio we have PMC's and NS-10's ( all of which belong to my collegues), one of us will bring in some dynaudios, but at home I have passive behringer 2031p's, so i decided i wanted to upgrade.

The Funny thing is that I got into B&W boxes after getting to know my current mastering engineering. He has a pair of 802's i think. Really amazing speakers.
