SP B1 vs SP B3 in cardioid = the same?

Comparing Studio Projects B1 vs Studio Projects B3 set in cardioid pattern, it seems like they should sound the same... What is your experience with both these mics, can you concur on this?

From the info I could gather, it seems so, looking at the frequency response graphs found here:
SP B1: Studio Projects B1 |
SP B3: Studio Projects B3 |

But I don't own both so I can't tell for sure. I found a used B1 recently and am looking to possibly trade it for a B3 since I very much like the idea of having more versatility (am on tight budget, can't keep both), but as long as I get the same sound. The B1 receives a lot of praise (compared to other low end mics) but I didn't hear much about the B3 so I'm just wondering...

Anyone? I've sent this question also to SP's contact a few days ago but didn't get an answer yet...

I own a pair of B3's, and I believe they sounded identical, or maybe better than the B1's in cardioid. It's been a couple of years, so I might be fuzzy, but I certainly like the B3's on many different applications.
