Every time I hear that tune it's like it's the first time again. Something about the drums on that track just hit you in the stomach like a canon.

in particular when it gets into the pre-chorus groove when the snare comes in (like at 0:40) and coming out of the bridge (2:30). even on the radio it sounds like it's just exploding out of the speakers. it's from 1994, go figure.

if anyone knows anything about how that rhythm section was recorded it would be cool to hear about it

Great tune, and the drums do sound great. Everything sounded better then.

yea it just proves that it doesn't have to be compressed to hell.

that song sounds *louder* on the radio than new tunes, probably because those drums are so dynamic and punchy

well Google told me it was recorded at Sound Stage, produced by Tony Brown, and mixed by Steve Marcantonio.

Drummer was Chad Cromwell.
