That's a winning combo, good for at least a few weeks!

I thought I was doing good yesterday with a seymour duncan convertible off ebay, but I was probably only in @ 8th place.

Crikey - in one fell swoop you bought one of everything I have! (except they probably aren't mastering versions...)

Of course, I do have the custom Crane Song mastering console. So there.

Seriously, I think you at least win GS of the month for that...

That was $35000 you were spending wasn't it? Sorry Jazzius, ya just been beat

Hi all,

pics to follow, I shot some DV this morning and man it looked boring but I'll pic a few shots for you all tomorrow. I have tons of news/info/impressions about all the new stuff. The mics are working out really well but I'm still waiting for the Soundelux stuff. I have a really really nice tube 47 hired in for next weeks vocal session, I can't wait.

I'll post tomorrow with some pics,

cheers,
Ruairi

Just received my STC-8/Hedd.....(Ibis still to come but i've got a Weiss EQ Dyn/Lin in lieu of heheheheheh)

Hedd is what i hoped for......nothing earth shattering....just a big improvement over Magneto......it would have been nice if they'd tried to incorporated a feature where-by you could choose to have the bass end dipped to balance out the bass that's added with the process......but i may well be talking bollocks...still, great machine and i'm delighted.

The STC is unbelievable.......this goddammed thing sounds like about 15 different compressors rolled into one.........the sheer versatiliy of the unit is mind boggling!.......the presets are a great......the ki setting is cool (but again i'd like the possibilty to iron out that bass boost........i guess i'll just have to eq it out)......
makes all other analogue and, for that matter, digital compressors look clumsy and uncooth by comparison........gonna have some fun with this..........and damn if this Weiss eq aint fucking marvelous also............sigh
