AEA TRP or RPQ for Beyer M160

I wonder if anybody has any info about using the Beyer M160 with any of the
preamps from AEA.
I really love those mic´s and the question is:
Do they sound even better with the TRP/RPQ?
Because of the high impedance they open up??

I use my Beyer´s alot as overheads, love the smoothness and transient responce.
But I find myself boosting the highs a bit most of the time,
maybe that will be unecessary if the impedance match open them up?

Or the TRP doesn´t open them up enough and I should look at the RPQ instead
with it´s EQ shaping controls?

So, anybody used this combo and noticed a difference??

Kind regards

The TRP or RPQ deliver it all, and yes they tend to bring out a bit more open sound from ribbons too.

I would choose the RPQ not only for its similar preamp section, but the EQ and also being able to use with phantom for any mic on the planet to take advantage of super high gain clean detail.

RPQ if you can afford it...!
