Sounforge equivalent and getting a Doppler effect in Logic

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there's a decent way to use SoundForge in an intel Mac as I REALLY cannot find a good alternative to this excellent PC-only sound editor.

I'm also looking for a plugin for Logic that lets you create a doppler effect like the Waves Doppler effect.

Anyone help out?

Thanks

No. SF is PC only. Though, TBH there are better editing programmes. I use SF for mastering and burning CDs, but that is about all. The latest version has cross-fade editing, but previous versions did not, so I am surprised that you describe it as excellent.

It is supposed to be a mastering programme, but it cannot even generate image files!

well, I find soundforge to be excellent also. it has amazing capabilities if you dig into it. I've never found a way to make it run on a Mac. :-( I use Bias Peak, which doesn't rise to SF's level across the board, but is a good alternative and pretty stable.

I never tried using SF for mastering, I use both of these as general-purpose audio editing tools (and batch processing tools). I've fooled around with the mastering stuff in Peak a little, but when it comes to preparing CD images there are other programs I prefer.
