I have a couple of Cad GXL1200's for overheads and would like to know if there would be a noticeable improvement going to Audio Technica 4041's.

The 4041s seem to have a higher equivalent noise level.

I bought the 4041's and they are much better for overheads. The top end is very clear and I don't need any EQ. The cad mics needed high end boost and mid cut to try to work.

I think the 4041's are the best deal out there. I got a matched pair for $340 from zzounds.com .
