Cheap, 1U rack-mounted power strips. Where are they?

I'd like a 1U power strip for pure convenience and power cable management - I could care less about "power conditioning," LED's, light bars, or anything else. I just want a front-mounted switch that I can turn on my entire rack with, while all the cables are neatly tucked into the back.

Does this exist? Where can I find it?

hi, you can pick a Furman M-8x for about $60. no bells and whistles, just a simple rack mounted power strip.

Buy Furman M-8X Power Conditioner | Power Conditioners | Musician's Friend

MOVs can deteriorate over time and compromise power to your gear!

HowStuffWorks "Surge Protection"

It's cheap, but..... it's cheap!

Get a power regulator and run all your gear thru it, then to whatever cheaper mov-containing items after. Your gear will thank me.

Open one up and look inside.

MOVs don't help much of anything.

They are mostly cheaply made rack box versions of the plastic strips you buy at Fry's or Radio Shack.

If you ever look at a REAL stage rig you won't see those pieces of crap.
REAL AC distro has larger sized wires and spade lugs with screwed down terminations.

You can get ones that are good enough for weekend warrior stuff at places like BanjoCenter for $39.00 or you can go to a place that sells electronics and computer stuff and pay $79.00 for the same thing made by Middle Atlantic.

Yes, I know you didn't want fancy but its only a hundred buckolas AND it looks pretty handy. I have the one right above it and love it. This one wasn't out then or I would have gotten this one for sure.
