Thoughts on the 500 series VP25 - 26?

Hey just looking for some of your thoughts on the Classic Audio Products of Illinois VP25 or VP26 500 series pres.

They are going to serve Drum and Elec GTR duty.

Thanks for the input!

I have been checking out the VP pres for a while now and am impressed with both the API-like sound and the exceptional build quality.

One Down Two to Go

Well, I've completed my first VP-25 and gar2520 DOA.

It was fun. The DOA is a bit of a challenge just because there is a lot of stuff on that small board.

All I need now is my lunch box to show up. It should be here today. Thoughts on the 500 series VP25 - 26?-img_0618.jpg

I just bought 2 of these myself. And a lunchbox. Let me know what you've found. I'm excited to get started on these. I'm wondering how they compare to the Five Fish x-12Mk500?

Hey,

They are easy to build once you freshen up on your color code and cap code. I've got some problems with my DOA's but thats my fault. I going to put some Red dots in them since my attempts at the Gar have not gone so well, and I need a known working DOA to compare them to.

I have two X-12 mk500's as well. They are different flavors, but I can't fully tell yet with out a new DOA in the VP-25.

I let you know when I have both of them fully up any running.

With Jeff's new wonderful assembly manual the
VP26 kit is really fun and easy to assemble.
