Adat into 002 Rack

What ADAT converter do people recommend?
any other besides a Behringer ADA8000?

i used an old AI-3 for along time with no issues. im sure so converter sluts will hop on and denounce this idea but i do believe there are mods for it out there somewhere.

Im using a MOTU 828MKii going into my DIGI002Rack. You can basically use wahtever you want. RME, Presonus, Apogee etc. Depends how much dough you want to blow as well. I would like to have an Apogee Rosetta 800 here

I've found there to be very little discernable difference between most of the lower end ADAT units as far as conversion goes. But certainly some have better preamps than others. After trying/ buying a few different units I settled on the TC Electronic Studio Konnekt 48. Great I/O and great preamps. I'm very happy with it. But I did try the Profire 2626 and thought it was good also. The only reason I returned it is because I wasn't finished trying out other units yet. I figured I'd come back to it but then I found the TC unit and kept it. The Echo Layla 3G was great but I had to run the PCI card on a second computer and then it still caused Pro Tools to crash. Worked awesome with Sonar though.

Yeah the TC stuff keeps popping up. I've used there stuff in the past with great results.
I'm just trying to add 8 more channels to my 002 rack. I really don't want to use the Behringer stuff because the pres suck.

Just thought about something.
The 002 rack only has one optical in and out.
So nothing over 48k.
Not good.
