Celemony Melodyne Plug in. Geez. Makes Auto-Tune look Fisher Price.

All the Massey Plugs rule as well that I've used. The compressor is now my go to vocal comp and the limiter is my go to master limiter.

Radial J48 Active DI.

DI's are boring... but this one. This takes an active bass, something I'm not too fond of, and makes it work. Clean and unchoked. I love it. The most open sound I've ever got from active basses. Love it. Love it. Love it.

I would sell it to Sting cheap on the condition he borrowed and played one of my other basses on a gig and took a picture of him with it. That'd be worth something on ebay.

I've got so many, but the one thing that comes to mind that gets used the most is 4 EV635 mics for about $80 for all. I've got many pawnshop steals and other incredible deals, but as far as what gets used on every session....they win.

Come to think of it....there are only a handful of items that were more than $299. I tend to bargain hunt for just about everything.

My wedding ring.

Not the one I'm wearing, the one for her.

The marriage actually didn't survive. I gave it everything but my life, and it still sort of withered away, thanks to her dishonesty and trust issues. I wear the ring still, only because the divorce isn't final.

BUT.

Now I know who I am, in good times and bad, and that gives me the courage to be out there in the often-merciless world win or lose... and that makes all the difference.

Cheers guys.

Oh- my Acrolite, my Epi Valve Junior head, and my Panasonic PV-GS180 are pretty nice too and not to forget my Saga P-bass copy. That, a decent pickup, and nylon flatwounds and I don't need anything else.

Yep. A strobe tuner is a must.

And also a couple of the Chinese ribbon mics from the group buy, which I then upgraded with Cinemag transformers and then removed most of the blast protection. I have less than $299 in both of them.

Cheers,

Sounds like my story with my first wife. Hang in there, though, because my second wife is an AMAZING woman and we've been together almost 20 years now, and plan to ride into the sunset together.

About rings. When it was time to get some rings made for my second marriage, I had a jeweler melt down all the gold jewelry that my first wife gave me (not a lot, but enough), remove three small diamonds, and then make the rings for my second marriage. My second wife and I felt it was a great way to symbolize the end of something negative and the beginning of something positive. Seems to have worked well.

Cheers,
