the "how long it took to make" record list...

I'm always curious about how long it took certain bands to make certain records. I'm talking about the actual recording and production process. it would be cool to compile a list of famous albums and how long (if people have that info) it took to get them done.

I know some guys like albini like to fly in the studio, then you read, for example, butch vig talk about his experience putting together siamese dream.

I have mixed results with different artists I work with in terms of production schedules. would love to see how fast or slow the big guns did it.

'Zeppelin I' took a little less than 30 hours according to every article about it in guitar magazines.

I have read a few times that the first Black Sabbath album was completed in two days.

I think it's just a testament of the days where these bands played out ALL the time and were just so naturally prepared to just blow through the tracks.

It was a golden age, that's for sure.

I wonder how long wolf mother took to record, in their effort to cop that 70's vibe?

I've had one fairly long project. 2.5 years. One artist.
Billing 5 days a week for practically the entire project.
Ahhh... the good ole days!
