GT44&AM62mics;SPL and usage ?

Hi Slutz,
I need some experienced help please. I have acess to a pair of older GT44 SDC`s and an AM62 multi pattern LDC from Groove Tubes . I`m an experienced pro player with studio experience but NOT an engineer
The guy the project is for is seriously amatuer .
Here we go .. He wants to use the mics for (in his words) kick, guitar mics , overhead, percussion .
QUESTIONS ; close up and how loud can I get on a cab without capsule problems?
2.for this SPL situation .....which is tougher ..the GT44 or the AM62?

I already explained that the LDC is more of a distance mic for cab and kick.
He needs guidance and I need some backup from the slutz before I steer him the wrong way.
My feeling is he`d be better off with the pair of 44`s ...but . Would the LDC excel in any of these uses ? He does have a live room that could theoretically take advantage of the polar patterns in the LDC .

that`s it ..... thanks , paul
