Gearslut in Amsterdam!

I'm going to Amsterdam tomorrow, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some gearslutty stores where I might find studio equipment?

Amsterdam is no good. Hardly any audio stuff. 1 or 2 guitar stores. thats it. At least that is my experience. But maybe other slutz have more useful info.. Lots of fun!

Indeed not much in Amsterdam for pro gear, but you always can check the guitarstores and some more:

http://www.dijkmanmuziek.nl
http://www.sound-plaza.nl/home.htm small guitarshop but great guys!
http://www.sacksioni.nl/
http://www.deplug.nl/
http://www.midi-amsterdam.nl/frameset.html

Audio pro is not really a store and to me expensive.

Bring your raincoat and have a great time!

Haarlem is not far from Amsterdam and you can find a big place there with slutz gear: http://www.helios.nl/

Thanks for the reply!

I ended up byuing an electric ukulele and a mandolin - couldn't find any really really slutty places, except for the palm store, which was cool (strings and stuff).

Amsterdam has a lot of interesting things, but no gearstores. Enjoy what you will find there! Try to visit the Concertgebouw. There are a lot of microphones hanging there, but more importantly it is one of the best sounding halls in the world with one of the best orchestras. And if you are more into other music: visit De Melkweg, or rock temple Paradiso.

Yep, easily one of the top 10-15 concert halls in the world. Don't miss it.

Dijkman on the Rosengracht is probably your best bet. But Amsterdam is not an equipment Mecca like London, New York or even Berlin.
Helios is for high end professionals (if that's you then great) and a bit out of the way..
Have fun... I hope the weather cheers up for you.

BTW, does anyone know how the smoking politics are going over there?
