slew rate . . .

Real fun question for the ultra-techie gear slut . . .

When speaking of mic pres and the like, Is slew rate solely a function of the opamp? ie - different opamps provide for faster or slower slews?

Or is slew a combination of factors, taking the whole design of the unit in question in to account?

Thanks in advance!

The simple answer? It's a combination. Op-amps do have a lot to do with it though.
