Electronic Dry Box for mic locker

Hi,
is anybody using an electronic dry box for a mic locker? The type used for camera equipment etc?

Im looking for a small dependable one that has low power consumption for my room to keep mics in. (and the other halfs camera)

any suggestions or recommendations
would be appreciated. I live in hawaii so humidity is always an issue.

aloha

I get bags of re-useable dessicant and just use an airtight (or almost airtight) box.

I hear ya and have tried things like that but the humidity is pretty high. When you say re-usable do you dry it out after a period of time (in oven?)

Yes

I like the cloth bags better than the tyvek ones. The tyvek melts at a temperature too close to the drying temp. ( now have 3 jars of loose dessicant that I have to make bags for...).

I've got a bunch I got from shipping crates and some I got from the Army-Navy surplus store.

You can order it on-line MidwayUSA - Hydrosorbent Silica Gel Desiccant 200 Gram (Protects 15 Cubic Feet) Box

You might also check hardware stores, camera shops, and packing supplies.
