mercury EQP and TubeTech PE 1C?

So who's tried both? And which one did you favor for vocals and gtrs?

Yes but not at the same time.

My thoughts?

They are Ok.

You can find uses for them.

They still don't replace the real thing though.

If you want a Pultec EQ you will have to buy one.

There is no way around it.

That's what I was afraid of...I plan on checking out the Tubetech since it's the least expensive of the 2.
Although I may go a completely different route and get the wunder peqr1--I loved it on drums, but never tried it on vocals.

Of the remakes i like the Summit EQP on vocals the best.

For the record i rarely ever use Pultecs on vocals.

I've only used them when tracking.

Not a bad price for a 2 channel Pultec-"ish" EQ either...$2500 new.
I hear that Summit is coming out with a half rack 4 band parametric too.

You can find them way cheaper.

I've bought 2 used one's in the past.

One for $800 and the other for $1100.

Its nice.

Not great, but nice.

It works though.

Yeah,I got one for a grand recently[EQP200]
they go pretty cheap and great value for the $.
Not a Pultec...But very useful for lots of stuff.
