Not very sexy...but....

Okay not very sexy but were can I get some mid grade stands in the U.S.?? I need some stands fo around the kit including a good boom for overheads (I am using my Coles 4040 for overs and WOW is that thing freaking heavy).

I would like to avoid the banjo mart down the road but I have a feeling that shipping cost for stands would be pretty crazy. Anyone know where to get a good deal?

Lives for gear

I bought one of these (On-Stage) a while back and have been pleased with it, especially at $130:

The boom is actually 2 pieces, can be used together or not. Shaft is 3 pieces, will go higher than I ever need... Counterweight is good, base is good, has decent casters. Has a 7" extension. The swivel joints are ratchet teeth, no slipping there.

The only complaint is the boom knob is a tiny thing, can't always get it tight enough to stop rotation if a stereo bar etc. is used. I fixed that by just buying a bigger $3 knob. I don't know why stand designers can't figure that one out
