Mytek expands with David Seymour

Hello All Gearslutz,

This is Michal at Mytek Digital in New York. I have some announcements to
make, and start with the one which is the most exiting for us:

Mytek would like to announce that David Seymour, aka Atticus, will now be
working as customer service liaison and marketing manager at Mytek Digital.
David's expertise is a major component of our effort to strengthen customer
service of our newly expanded product line, with the goal to provide highly
responsive and expert support of Mytek products.

David can be reached at david(at)mytekdigital.com or on his cell phone at
330-354-1576. Please feel free to ask him any questions about Mytek gear.

On another note I'll mention that a new expanded Mytek website and new
Internet US Store are now online and operational. http://www.mytekdigital.com/

There are also some new products , especially our new flagship 8X192 ADDA
with DSD option, I'll write about it in detail on the new products forum.

I appreciate the support of the audio community as we have gone through a
time of transition over the past year. With expanded staff and new product
line Mytek will continue its tradition of making innovative high end audio
equipment with a renewed emphasis on customer service.

Sincerely, Michal Jurewicz, Mytek Digital

Well-deserved Congratulations, Atticus! Benchmark was mistaken to have let you go and I know you'll show that with your work for Mytek.

Thanks a bunch for the compliments! The past couple of years have been kinda rough but it's all good now. I'm really glad to be working with a company like Mytek, especially with the current product line and the new stuff coming out. As I said, I'll try my best to earn this...

Is the new unit a different sounding converter up to 96, or ADDA in one box for less?

Any idea on the lightpipe price?

Our design philosophy is to make a new product a notch better than previous generation. The new product uses newer parts and also uses our experiences from previous design, it has different layout etc. In consequence it sounds tiny bit better IMO, meaning a bit more detail and more transparent. It also does DSD (optional) which is just amazing IMO and we didn't have that before.

But again, the differences btwn Mytek 8X96 and 8X192 at let's say 44.1k will probably be smaller than differences btwn Mytek and other brands.

You will only need one lightpipe card to get digital in AND out (8 chan of up to 96k or 4 chan up to 192k)- it's $595. I'll be posting a price list on the website in a few hours.

If there are more questions, I'd be happy to answer.

Regards Michal, www.mytekdigital.com

Congrats to both of you! Michal's converters have helped win Downbeats dB awards for our university orchestra 4 out of the last 7 yrs for best college orchestra in North America as well as serving as part of the front end to our Pro Tools HD rig. His clock makes the 192s sound MUCH deeper and wider. heh
