[QUOTE=lucey]If it's any consolation fellas ... I had an electric guitar built by a Scotsman in the late 80s. Estimate, 9 months ... paid in full, in cash.
It arrived in 4 years. Still play it today.
Wow Brian.... and I waited 14 months to hear the Aurora mixer..
such as life with the boutique/custom world..i've got plenty of comps anyways ,so it ain't life threatining..still would'a been nice to hear a demo way back when it was all exciting and new though....
Those were the days indeed. Driving to the beach with little red glowing nuggets flying out the end and burning my car seats. We didn't mix ours with tobacco though, we used the green stuff.
I got an email on March 20th saying it would be here in a week.... still waiting.
As far as i know, Faceplates for a bunch of units were being cut/engraved this week..
but man,who knows
i stopped holding my breath about 6 months ago..

My analogman CompROSSer took about 9 months, but that was a waiting list with no credit card numbers or promises of payment. Once you reach the top of that list, you can decide if you still want to buy it. And that compressor is only $270, less than 10% of the SH.
In other consolatory news, I ordered a tenor steel pan (commonly referred to as a "steel drum" here in the states) from world reknown pan maker Cliff Alexis. I actually went into it being told it would take about 3 years. This summer marks the 10 year anniversary of my 50% deposit. No pan yet.
