LA2A Question

Hi ... just bought a used LA2A ... wondering, how do I tell if it is the original 60's model? What tubes were sold with the original. Where would one go to get tubes for it?

Thanks,
Ian

I have had wonderfull luck with www.audiotubes.com He has a warranty on his NOS tubes and tests them thoroughly before selling. I would strictly stick with NOS tubes.

The 1979 reissue had a "safety switch" that cut off power to the unit when the front panel was hinged open. There were also different input and/or output transformers in the reissue but I can't find my notes about the specifics.
