Is that what he's doing? I thought he was dry-humping that blue case.

NYC Drew,

Interesting you posted a picture from the Mohegan Sun. I played a weeklong gig there last October in the cabaret theater and was very impressed with the quality of equipment and how good everything sounded. That rack doesn't look like it was in the cabaret though, maybe that's a rack from the bigger theater?

The cabaret theater had a new Midas board along with a Lexicon 960 I believe, as well as a TC M5000 and a ton of other great stuff.

Hi Albert,

You played in the "smallest" of three venues there.

The Cabaret Theatre
The Wolf's Den
The Arena

My picture was of the rack in the Wolf's Den.

I also did a show in the Arena last summer (some NBC thing wth Joe Crocker etc etc). They had a pair or Yamaha PM1D's + a remote truck....

The last few times I was in the Wolf's Den, they had a PM4K. Before that, one of those live digital consoles (from Seinheisser)...

That looks damn good for selfmade, just like professionally manufactured.
Maybe I should talk to you the day I´d like to get me a 1176 ...

Whatsoever, nice!

not my, but interesting... 80ies, this studio was built for recording film music, by comunists in the czech republic, funny thing is much about NEVE ;-)... but it has/had famous clients like David Lynch (everything except for "Alvin Straight").

this is a wreck of the old neve automatisation computer (down)

and here are some pics from Thomann shop in the Germany...

NYC Drew,

Oh yes, I forgot about the Wolf's Den. As I remember, that's an open stage area in the center of the Earth Casino, right? The one where the animatronic wolves howl every once in a while. I imagine sound would be a challenge there since the casino is so noisy. The Cabaret was a really nice place to play and management was really cool to us traveling musicians, giving us a great spread of food in the dressing room every show.

However, I think my favorite "megga gear" from the Mohegan Sun shows was the free pass to the cafeteria! The chefs would make anything to order. A perfect gig--great gear and great food! Oh yeah, and the rooms were super nice too.

I can't hold a candle to those previous pics, for I'm a mere mortal.

Here's a rack system I'm developing. I'm still saving my lunch money for the rack.

I have at least twice as much of this exact rack gear, not to mention the rest of my gearslutz home recording empire, with the bulk of my gear not pictured.

Albert,

The employee cafeteria is the complete and absolute **** (this is a good thing)...

I've stayed at the new hotel twice since it's opened.... 10/100 ethernet in every room...it's definately a "6 star" hotel.

There's a dB meter at the FOH console. I think 90dB is the max...I don't have any problems getting good sound, their system is also the ****.

yes it's pretty nice.
the two mid bands have selectable low and hi corner frequencies, acting like a deluxe q-factor.
sounds as clinical as it looks.

one thing I never really understood is why they used such a tiny VU-meter for this monster.

p.s.: if you ask me this is classic sleeper gear: just last week, a pair(!) UE-1000's was sold at eBay.de for whopping $900.00.
that's roughly $11,25 per lb. of K&H eq.
