Monitor Question

I have a chance to pick up a pair of KRK E8s or Genelec 1032As for a very good price. I currently have the Hafler TRM8s with the Hafler sub. Would either the Genelecs or the KRKs be a major upgrade from the Haflers? Would these more expensive monitors really be more revealing? Mind you I am not mixing songs, only composing and writing. Although I do try to get them to sound decent. I can appreciate that better gear will help me to reach my goal more efficiently.

I think the trick is to know the monitors you use very well.
Make sure that you can get some measurements from your existing monitors.
Maybe you find an old review....

If they have no problem to translate the whole range and do that not to bad I would keep the monitors I know well... I mean many great engineers mix on NS10 and this is in my opinion not a great monitor but they know the NS 10 very well.
