Right! I'm a carpenter and if I make a mistake I have to fix it. The old saying is that doctors bury theirs.

Hmmm, I'm still doing the impossible for the ungrateful. That and wayyy too many doctor visits. One is too many, right?
Dude... the book business grinds on perpetually. Our publisher decided to "restructure" last spring, and the result was almost all the senior editors opting for buy-outs. Rumor has it, five months later, that we finally have an editorial staff again. We've been in something of a holding pattern in the meantime. When this thing is finished, I promise we'll have a party on this page.

And there's more history to include every day! Unrelated, really, but something that always raises my eyebrow is a book title that begins with The Complete Book Of....

Hang in there my friend, your magnum opus will be complete soon and you can relax those brain cells a bit.

Lol. No, I'm just a patient of waaaay too many doctors and nurses. And they're all wonderful people. But you know that you have seen too many of them when you start seeing them around town and you know them by name.

Hey, that's funky! I like it! How'd you do that bass line? Are you using a pitch wheel or something? Very cool.

Ha! No, we used a 15-year-old Jazz Cat who had NEVER PLAYED A WHOLE TUNE ON A BASS BEFORE to lay that line down. Go figure.

Cool tune. Loved the talking in the background. Couldn't understand much of it but it was fun. I like off the wall stuff like that.

Not a bad bass line for a first time. Probably better than I could do for sure.

Better when you can listen with some volume. I could understand the words...most of them. Not planned...it's out there...the kind of stuff you love.

Blake's the man on the harp. He's going to the Crossroads Guitar Festival this weekend in Dallas. I half expect him to come back after having spent time on stage with half of the headliners. He's really that good.

I don't know if the Tom reference is Tom Waits, but you'd make Tom Waits proud with this one!

Tom Waits is who I thought of listening to the tune.

"She's the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, except for your mother"

(I'm pretty sure I screwed that up but I still loved the line and I could hear Tom Wait's raspy deep voice speaking it)

Well that was fun

Dude... you and Blake are in sync. He sent me this yesterday.

This weekend he's hanging at the Crossroads Festival in Dallas. Last I heard, he was in the Gibson VIP lounge and Bill Murray was blowing him kisses. Me. I spent the day, shopping, cooking, and washing cars.
