Damn - didn't even catch that - just can't keep up with the thread count...

Benjamin Britten:
"It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony"

Aldous Huxley:
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music"

and at this time, a very salient quote from John Lennon:
"Music is everybody's possession. It's only publishers who think that people own it"

And probably THE most important quote of this generation, by Bob Marley:
"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain"

NO really I don't think it could have happened to a nicer guy. Then again a nicer guy might not have accepted the award. So there you have it.

In all seriousness, that is cool and a little weird all at the same time. Congrats.
PEACE

Thanks Voiceactor...& Good Morning in "GearsneyLand"...

Headzup!

The tube Xmas ornaments arrived today, and I'm happy to say, they are now adorning our tree!

Big thx to Bowie for sending them off - I can't wait for my kid to wake from his nap and my wife to see them when she gets home!

You just made Xmas a little brighter (even if the tubes don't 'light up')!!!

All the best!thumbsupthumbsup

You want to Jerry rig a tube into a string of x-mas lights and wrap it around a dried out piece of firewood?

Might as well throw a little lighter fluid on there for good measure

Re-post: Free Mac G4 tower RAM 3 x 512mb

Not the sexiest thing on earth, but.....
I have some more stuff to give if anyone needs it.
****Older TDM system users, you may need this****
My G4 died a while ago, but I kept the RAM... So whoever might need it I have 2x 512mb Ram for the G4 towers. This would max out a G4 with 1.5 GB.
PM me if you need one, two or all three.
I'll ship for free or you can pick up with NYC area.
hehLet me know!heh

slightly off topic

Hey Team,
So this is slightly off topic, since I'm not about to donate gear, but I have another offer to make.

I know in these tough financial times, a lot of people are going without things they really need. I recently received a gift certificate to LL Bean, and I don't need anything from there. If you have the ability to even be on this board, then you are disqualified from my offer, since you can clearly afford a computer and internet access, and more importantly, the time to spend on here (if you were really in dire need of something, you'd either be working or have stopped paying for internet!!)

BUT, if you know someone whose kid needs a winter coat or gloves or whatever and could use 50 bucks towards it, PM me and we'll see what we can figure out. Hell, I may even make up the rest of the cost and pay for shipping if I'm really inspired by your story.
