Hi,

I was investing on cable matters for a while now. I havn´t heard of special cables for bass yet, but as Monster produces different cables for jazz guitar, rock etc. I guess they could have one for bass too. - Though I can´t tell whether it makes really sense.

About instrument cables I think there is some interesting news. I don´t know if you can get cables from MTI at the place where you live, but MTI has developed a cable that has been measured to catch up with the highest quality of Monster, while it is very much cheaper than them.

I bought one "MTI prof. guitar cable TP70" of 2 m length for ~ 16$ and one 6 m for ~ 27$. ( Neutrik plugs )
They can be ordered custom lengths.

Hope that helps.

Greets,

Canare and Mogami are pretty much the best, and most realistic. Paying more than those two is silly IMO. I heard someone mention that Mogami is as cheap as Canare. I haven't noticed this...Mogami is about 6-10% more than Canare across the board.

Wasn't there a manufacturer in the Netherlands doing great cables for instruments?
