Delay that detunes?

Any know which plug-in that delays and detunes as each repeat happens? Like Kanye West "flashing Lights" Thanks.

Have a think about using a pith-shifter in conjunction with your delay (and use cross feedback too)

I think one of the PSP plugs does this.

The PSP-48 and PSP-84 plug-ins do this. The 48 is modeled after the Lexicon PCM-42, and the 84 is a fancier version. You can change the sample rate (resulting in pitch change) of the audio, and the SR change can be modulated by LFO (or automated). Very cool!

I have the old Timeblender and Pitchblender which do this in 1000 variations

presets galore and very deep programming

I believe these two are now combined in Soundblender

you can certainly roll your own with some delays and pitch shifters, but the beauty of this plug is that all the mix percentages, routing, feedback, LFOs and tempo locks are built in to a single interface.

Bad news.

Sony M-7.

Rarer than hens teeth.

More parameters than God.

Spanks the living crap out of any of the plug-in stuff mentioned for spiraling ascending and descending delays.

But you want plug-ins, so you'll have to settle for a distant second.

AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

Hey.

It's GS.

not sure on what host you're using but logic's delay designer does this. i've also done this manually using a delay on one buss which then fed a pitch shifter on another buss. the buss with the pitch shifter feeds out to the delay buss - if i remember correctly. you will need to find a nice pitch shifter.

done this way you can achieve very good quality pitch shift delays.

there's also soundtoys crystalizer which is one of my favourite toys. i still don't find it easy to get a specific result, i.e. delay at specific rate with specific pitch shift

if you're looking for delays that are simply detuned or drastically detuned then this is the baby

Yeah, got one here, and a D7 and R7 too - Have you ever used the remote for these? I've yet to see one so dunno if it's worth trying to pursue or not

Plug-ins won't do it proper as they don't do a decent job of the pitching. tutt

That's what Eventides are for. heh

But if you're real hard up you can try the Audiodamage Discord 2

I´d second delay designer if your on logic. Pretty much any delay based effect you can think of is possible to make.

dont know what song or specific sound your talking about but a pitchshifter and delay should do it. create an aux , insert a delay after it a pitchshifter and create an send on that aux as well feeding the same return ( make sure your sendlevel on the return is low, otherwise you will get a nasty feedback ).

good luck

AU/VST only, but it's cheap. You could buy a wrapper and still come out ahead.

Discord works for a split harmonizer kind of thing too.

All of the Audio Damage stuff is worth checking out.
