Apogee Mini Batteries?

Ok. so Iv had this Apogee Mini MP for a while now and Im yet to give it a real testing. In a few weeks (when the weather clears heh ) Im gonna take it out for some sound fx gathering. I just need to sort out a suitable battery pack.

Any ideas? Im pretty new to field recording, and I have no idea what to use to power the little fella?

Hmm, I think maybe one of those rechargable battery packs for RC cars (try Radio Shack) would suffice. You'll probably have to kludge together your own cable with the proper connector.

(added edit) I just noticed you're in the U.K. - so I'm not sure the Radio Shack suggestion is apropos, but battery packs for radio control cars should be readily available in a variety of voltages.

Cheers fella, I'll have a look what I can rustle up.

I have to admit though, Im amazed that Apogee dont have any recommendations on their site or in documentation (or maybe i just missed it). Infact, Im supprised they dont do a unit themselves, would be nice to have offical accessories for these types of kit (for us with more money than sense... he says in jest heh ).
