multi channel EQ?

Just finishing up my first mix since acquiring my API 7800/8200 rig and a multi-channel (at least 4ch) very basic EQ or filter would have been real handy. I'm not talking about a comprehensive EQ, something closer to a multi-channel Hi/Lo filter, maybe a small step up from that. The old Speck 16(?) ch EQ or something inexpensive, but still decent and with multiple channels. Anything out there like that?

I've got some 550s when I need to get into some serious sound shaping, but sometime just a one band sweep filter for each channel would be enough. Anybody else working without a console or a computer and trying to get by with just a bunch or outboard tied together? A box with 8ch of sweep filters might be a very useful product for anyone working this way.
