I'm pretty sure Steve Vai's "Real Illusions: Reflections" was done on an API. That's what he's got at his "Mothership" studio.

Radiohead - Hail To The Thief was done on the API console at Ocean Way Studio. I'm pretty sure Amnesiac was done their too.

Beck - The Information was also done in that same studio too I think, so maybe them too

There was a huge thread with almost this exact same title a while back... You can probably find it in the search.

These records were done on Litho's API except where noted. However in the spirit of full disclosure there is a BCM 10 at Litho too.

Pearl Jam - No Code, roughly 1/2 of Yield, Binaural (also on the API at Sound Factory in LA)
Deftones - Adrenaline (Bad Animals API), Around the Fur (Litho)
Soundgarden - Down on the Upside
Dave Matthews - his solo record (whatever it's called)
Brad - Interiors
Mastodon - Blood Mountain (all drums, bass, some guitar)

Foo Fighters first record was done at Robert Lang's when he had an API.

some predate 2000, oh well.

Nope, Litho's API was put in in Sept of 95, Lang didn't switch to his SSL til quite a few years later. Litho's API is a 44 channel mid seventies frame with custom 2520 based input modules.

Lang's was older and if i recall (i only worked on the API once) was actually two frames put together. He had added a bunch of LED's on most channels that made it a unique beast. I believe it ended up on the east coast somewhere, although I would not be surprised to hear it had been parted out.

Pardon the noob question, but would the preamps in those consoles be equivalent to the 3124's?

Radiohead consistently gets some of my favorite sounds.

I believe Bob Schneider's "I am Good Now" was tracked and mixed on an API Legacy if I remember correctly.
