Is TDM better than RTAS ??

Hi all,

I need some advice. i just upgraded to PT HD2 with an 192 interface. I'm hesitant wether i should upgrade my Waves Native Gold bundle to the TDM version for HD wich will cost $ 1800 ( OUCH !! ) or just keep it as native and upgrade it so that it's HD compatible and use it under RTAS ( only $200 ).
So basically, is there a sonic difference between the same plug under TDM or RTAS...i'm aware of the difference " technically " ( RTAS uses 32 bit floating as opposed to 52 bit fixed dithered down to 24 under TDM )...but i'm more concern with real world differences as opposed to just numbers. Thanks a lot.
My Mac is a G4 1 Ghz, dual Processor with 1.25 Ghz of ram.

FWIW i understand the Ren eq. and later WAVES RTAS plug-ins are 64 bit float.

I think the gotcha is that you can't use RTAS on submasters and master faders.
