Just a Heads-Up.

Actually it looks like they're selling all Blue stock for cheap. They have the Blueberry goin for $795, Kickball for $44 etc. As for me, sounds like it's time to buy a bunch of Blueberry and Cranberry cables.

and for a Holy $*** of savings, theres the Cactus mic. Sweetwater is retailing these at $2500, FC has em for $1400..... I think that might be too good a deal to pass up.

On a side note, any idea why they're selling their Blue stock for so cheap?

It's not just Full Compass. I picked up a Blue Ball for $45 yesterday at Zzounds... only noticed later that FC has if for the same price.

Beats me what's up with Blue's prices... but I sure like it!!

One of Blue's former distributors unloaded the last of all US and foreign back stock. This is the reason for the pricing as is, as they got rid of their stock VERY cheap. Dont expect these deals to last as the pricing for these current products is only quantity sensitive (and limited quantity at that). Expect to find insane deals on these models: Bluebird, Dragonfly, Blueberry, Cactus, Kiwi, Baby Bottle, Omni Mouse, various "Ball" mics, Blueberry & Cranberry cables.

Cheers.

I also think the Full Compass deal might be a conflict on interest as their parent company is now the agent/dealer for Violet and JZ mics in the USA and as they have a 'history' it might make sense for them to sell off their stock, they have some great deals that is for sure.

As lowfreq33 stated, no manufacturer, nor retailer folded. Blue changed distributors, and left many companies with lots of extra stock. These items were then basically 'liquidated' at very low prices as you are all aware. The only 'folding' that has occured was the price of the remainded stock. I got a Blueberry and a Baby Bottle myself! The deals were too good to pass up!

Cheers.

What does it mean by "two conductor cable" for the Blueberry mic cable? How does that differ from your standard xlr?

Blue also makes a quad core cable, which some claim has better interference rejection capability. It's just doubling up the number of wires carrying the signal. The Cranberry has a bit thicker wire than the blueberry.

I was thinking about this as well. Does anyone have any experience with the OmniMouse? I haven't heard much about it, but $600 for a solid omni mic seems like an incredible opportunity.

Ok. Just stocked up on cables. Also gave in and ordered a Kickball. Hell, cant hurt to have an extra kick mic for under $50.

Noticed the Ringer shockmount disappeared as well. Anyone have experience with the ball mics? Is the ringer necessary or should standard mic stands be flexible enough for positioning the mic?

I had one of the ball mics.... and the ringer...

I actually still have the ringer somewhere around here??

I used it about two times, then the adjustment bolt broke on it and I never used it again... Honestly... though it looked really cool... the combo of the two....

I found the ringer just about worthless except to look cool...
