anybody made home-made absorbers with 703?

I've got some laying around and was thinking about just wrapping it in fabric?

I was too lazy to make them myself, but the ReadyBags from Ready Acoustics are great...they don't look AMAZING, but they look a lot better than anything I'd do myself. Great support from them too...

readyacoustics.com sells pre made bags for either 1 {2"} or 2 {4"} pieces of the 703.....they are $30.00.......they also make frames cheap..decent info on website regarding 703 usage as well.......

You can wrap it in fabric, but it's good to build some kind of frame for it if it will be in any high traffic areas. I've even used cardboard for a frame once, just to keep the corners clean.

I did. I used 1X2 to build a frame then wrapped one
side of the frame in beige muslin from a local fabric store.
I then used two wood strips across the back to give the
frame some bracing and hung them up...

I did the same thing with 2ftX4ft 4 inch mineral fiber panels
for bass traps... works like a charm.

I also bought some of Glenn's corner traps. thumbsup

good luck.

Yeah, I doubled up two 1" sheets, wrapped them in burlap, hung them around the studio. I think they helped. Cheap solution.
