Korg Kontrol49 vs. M-Audio Axiom 61 (FOR EASE of USE)

HI,
Just starting a basic MIDI course and since I am just beginning in the MIDI-world, I'm wondering if anyone could please tell me which keyboard might be the EASIEST to use? I am not looking for the most advanced, just ease of use til' I get going. I don't want to be bogged down with unnecessary bells and whistles I won't be using?

Right now ti's between a KORG KONTROL49 or a M-Audio Axiom 61? Has anyone used or heard which might be best for this beginner mode?

THANKS for your help!!!

Peace,

Michael Brandmeier

I have the Axiom and use it in beginner mode and really enjoy it. I use the pads but haven't figured out the knobs and switches yet. Maybe someday.

I have a K49....The Korg Kontrol 49 is really great in that it has so many preset functions for different daws and different software packages. Plus the LED's are great, lots of knobs and faders too. Soon you will move past the beginner stage and on that day you will start appreciating all the features...

my 02...

as always YMMV...heh

I use an Axiom 61. Works well. Functions as you'd expect.
