Indeed, although Jason look downright civil compared to his dad! But he kept that thunderous roll going beautifully.

Jules, we NEED the ROCK-ON emoticon on this forum please!

interesting to note that although they tuned down a whole step for the standard tuning songs (good times bad times, etc) they played kashmir in album tune.

jason sounds good!

he's not his father but it works.

Yes he could. He is a bit too good for the Brits, except McLaughlin.

Chester Thomson is available and would be a great fit, he can play.

Then again, at those prices, I'll stay home and watch the DVD when it's released.

No, that could hurt ticket sales if they did that. You know they will release it, just to pick up all those missed sales from those overpriced tickets. Economics 101.

Very true Jim. In fact, just watched the YouTube Kashmir Clip and noticed rather a lot of cameras and dollys for simple projection duties.

Sounded great though, even on a lo-quality recording.

Wicked!

What about the overhead mic setup:

Looks like 1 spaced pair SDCs and a coincident pair/Blumlein in the middle... both pairs pretty high up

The show was shot and recorded for future dvd and cd release.
Dick Carruthers directed the live cut of the show, not sure who cut the IMAG.

We had our deposits on our tickets in high school for the "In Thru the Outdoor" tour, and then JB died. Horrible shock and loss to all of us.

Amazing! Zeppelin!

Lotta 6.3k in the wedges. That is one monitor gig that you do not want to be messing around with. I'm supprised actually, You would think that they were rung out a little more. Every clip so far at least a 2 get away. Feedback free zone no?

Still, totally kickin. I really want to see them, really.
Saw VH in Phoenix 3 weeks ago. Real good too. Not on this level though.

I was thinking that as well but we have to remember these are 59 year old singer ears. On top of that they have been absolutely POUNDED for years with live gigs.

The top of Plant's hearing is probably completely shot and he needed a bunch of high end cranked in the monitors just to get his pitch. That and, if you grow up with wedges, side fills or "nothing" for years in ears are probably not going to work.

I heard that before Bob Seger's sound man and band got him to switch to an Egnater modular rig he was playing a Soldano live with the presence and treble on 10 because it sounded good..... to him.

thumbsup

Again, I cut the monitor guy a little slack here.

Yeah. I know the guy personally. Don't know if he wants to be outed yet though. I'll be seeing him in the next week or so, see if he wants to reveal himself
