Lynx Aurora/ monitor-> ouput problems

Hello there (again),

I trying to connect 2 output sourches on the Lynx Aurora 8 (+ AES16)
I'm talking about one passive and one active monitor set.

I'm connecting them well. Put when I connect my passive monitors to ouput 1 and 2 they work both monitors. And output 2 and 3, with my active monitors doesn't work, no signal at all.

When I switch my active monitors to output 1 and 2, only my left monitor give a signal and sound. the right one doesnt.

I've checkted all 4 monitors and they all seem to work.

I'm sure it has something to do for 90 % with the software mixer/hardware routing.

Maybe something with the 25 cable sub cable. But I can't inmage that.

I've connected my HR824 to, 25 pins cable -> TRS plug 1 and 2 (output)
And my passive monitors to 25 pins cable -> TRS plug 3 and 4 (output)

I have to do something in my internal lynx softw. mixer and/or the auroura unit itself

Gr,

Alex

Hi again Alex!

So, tell us exactly what you have assigned to outputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the Lynx Mixer.

I've got a lynx auora 8 with AES16.

From the Aurora unit The AES outputs -> with a 25 pin sub cable wich is running at the end into 8 TRS jacks (plugs).

Those 8 TRS outputs, I would like to use 4 of them for monitoring ( 1 active system 1 passive system.

* Mackies HR824 by output 1 and 2. (right - left)
* passive behringers output 3 and 4. (right - left)

That's how there are running by the 25 pins sub cable -> to TRS jacks.

I would like to get them by:

Output 1 and 2 - > mackies
Output 3 and 4. -> Behringers

in the software Lynx Mixer/router.

There are some serious routing isues, where the manual doesnt give me what I want.

Start reading at page 53 of the Lynx AES-16 manual (it's here if you don't have it already http://www.lynxstudio.com/manuals/AES16UserManual.pdf ) Just setup your second two output channels the same as the first two.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Are you saying you are trying to plug a digital signal into an analog input and it's not working? I really hope I'm missing something here.

Its working now. I know what I did, but I cant explain why I did, what I did.

In the software mixer outputs: I'm now capable of listing to 2 sets of monitors. Without doing any concessions. In the output sourche button,

you should say that you have to select by Digital out channel 2: 2L and 2 R , but then there is no signal at all. When I selected by channel 2 : 1L and 1R. I'm getting everyting wich I wanna.

So: output 1L and output 1R are my mackies
Output 2L and 2R are my passive system.

But by output 2L and 2R are only working when I select: DI 1L and DI 2R.
