What makes the 2 track master have that "polish sound"?

What equipment or gear would create that polish sound?

The Smart C2 seems to give some instant gratification in that area (a certain gloss). The best way to get that "polished" sound however, is to deliver a great mix of a well recorded, written, and performed song.

Just buy the most expensive EQ and compressor you can find and turn all the knobs fully clockwise. That high end gear sounds good no matter what you do.

Maybe you´ll need to move to Poland to obtain that "polish" sound.

Just get one of these,
GML 9500 | Sweetwater.com

And one of these,
elysia: Introduction

And make sure your studio flooring is reclaimed antique barn wood, with a 'vintage' polish like wax

The trick to getting Polish sound is complicate. Might I suggest step:

1). move to Poland
2). Date a girl named Marta (Agnieska, Ania, Kasha, Olga, Ula are all fine substitutes)
3). hire an assistant engineer named Tomek, Rafal or Piotr
4). Drink copious amounts of Vodka, Zywiec or Tyskie beer (and eat Kebab while drunk)
5). Eat pig knuckle, blood sausage and pierogi
6). Buy the most expensive piece of gear you can afford, and without listening to it, declare that it must sound great because "so and so" uses it
7). Realize that all American food is filled with preservatives and Polish food is far superior
8). Open a Polish bank account
9). Find an apartment near Novy Swiat, but spend many hours a day in Mercer's because it takes months to get DSL installed
10). Learn Polish !!!!!!! "Jestem Amerykaninem"

I think its very important to get that sound like somebody kicked you in the shins. You definitely need to record in Poland to get this sound.

Its really cheap to fly there from EU countries, therefore you don' thave to buy an Aural Exciter or multiband comp with a side-chair
