Clicks and Pops w/Rosetta and Digi002r!!!!!

Hi Folks,
Please help! I picked up a Rosetta 200 for use with Digi002r/PT LE and a Mac G4 dual 1.25, 2 gigs of RAM. It's working, but I'm getting an obscene number of clicks and pops. Here's what I did:

Connected via ADAT and set the clock to ADAT, accordingly.
Ensured the Rosetta setting of 24/44.1 matches the session.
Toyed with the buffer settings.
Booted the Rosetta BEFORE my 002r and computer.
Deleted various Digi permissions in my user library per some online recommendations.
Still no workee! Today I'm gonna try to pick up some SPDIF cables and do it that way to see if my Hosa ADAT cables are faulty.
Any recommendations? Please chime in!!!

Thank you --
Jim B.

I use this setup regularly when i'm out of the studio.

If you are using the TOSlink output(not ADAT) on the Rosetta, it is not putting out 8 channels of ADAT audio, it is putting out 2 channels of s/pdif through TOSlink. Often the TOSlink connector is confused with the ADAT format, because that is it's most popular use.

You need to set your sync source in PT setting to s/pdif, and change your TOSlink port to accept s/pdif instead of ADAT.

Or you can just get a regular s/pdif cable and go in through the s/pdif ins.

Here for the gear

Hey jim,

curious....did everything work out okay with the spdif cables?

I just hooked up my new rosetta 200/002r setup today, and still not sure if I have everything worked out right.
