If you get stuckout with no where to go stay, I'd put u up in Philly but it's a $40 round trip ride each day via train.

But LOL I'm sure they'll be a shoe box available in NY (That's what it seems like I had the last time I stayed in an NY hotel)

It might be cheaper to stay across the bridge in Jersey and take a NJ transit train into NY each day.

(By the way does anyone know if there's secure parking at that last train stop in Jersey before the Train crosses the bridge? I was gonna park there before, but I went through the tunnel because I was pressed for time. (Of course with the traffic during rush hour, I was still late.

probably is ...

If you're driving or even flying in, stay at a hotel in Queens. There's quite a few on Queens Blvd, which has a subway underneath it. It's pretty efficient transit. For just driiiving, park in Astoria Queens (right across from Manhatten) on the street for free and hop the subway. It's a very safe, mostly greek neighborhood. Take note of where th subway or elevated line is when looking for a parking spot.

Did it all the time when I lived there. Be aware of street cleaning times and you're no more than 15 - 20 min from Manhatten. You'll get to know the city a bit and save a bundle.

Not recommended if you're carrying gear with you for whatever reason, but there's some nice and reasonable hostels in NYC. Some people might not like the idea, but I figure I just need some place to crash for the night, and I'd do it. Not for everyone obviously.

Get hooked up with Hilton HHonors (not a typo) and then stay with them everytime you travel. You'll get to stay in NY for free every once in a while.

Between them and Delta Airlines, I'm not paying much at all for this trip.
